What we love: The ultimate in laid-back cool, this Urban Lodge can’t fail to impress the most sullen teen. If the t-shirt clad staff, slate-style décor or innovative room design doesn’t cut it, just tell them the NME awards after party was held here in February.
Don’t miss: The Hox Guide, a free in-room brochure with handy hints to exploring Old Street area. Also clear your schedule on at least one afternoon to enjoy a film or two in your room – teens will love the swivel flatscreen and modern daybeds.
Watch out for: Dinner at The Grille was a little noisy on our visit, with ‘colourful’ language on the tables either side – book an early dinner if you can.
