The must read going out guide
Morning after
THE Hoxton Grille (81 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, grillerestaurants.com) is a hip and stylish restaurant tucked away beneath the equally gorgeous Hoxton Hotel.
It’s decked out in earthy browns and leather (a nod to the area’s tannery past), with graffiti-style screen prints and glass dividers lending a contemporary edge. The breakfast menu ranges from cheap and simple (toast and jam for £2.50) through to the “Grille” fry-up for £8.50 and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, also £8.50, and with plenty of pastries, cereals and bacon baps besides. It’s open from 7am Monday to Friday and from 8am on Saturday and Sunday, while the bar opens at 8.30am daily for anyone who fancies a much-needed Bloody Mary.
