Grille steams into King’s Cross

The owners of the Room restaurants and New York-style Grille brasseries are opening a fourth Grille in King’s Cross in June. Simon Wright and John Pallagi are opening the 90-seater restaurant with a cocktail bar on Pentonville Road.
The first Grille opened in East London’s Hoxton Hotel in 2006 and Grilles have since opened in Harrogate and Lincoln. The King’s Cross branch will be the first not attached to a hotel.
The inaugural Room, serving reworked retro dishes, opened in Leeds in 2002 and has since been joined by sites in Manchester and Liverpool plus a Room bar in Lincoln. Pallagi said, “We hope to open at least two more Grilles this year, potentially three or four.”
