One of the new breed of pretty chic “budget” hotels, this is the brain child of Prêt a Manger founder Sinclair Beecham.
Rooms are small but have a flat-screen TV, crispy duvets and extremely sleek bathrooms.
Downstairs, you forget your in a budget place at all; the bar and restaurant are run by a different company and the long cocktail bar and menu of potted shrimp and top-notch burgers feels like any other fashionable Shoreditch eatery.
No pricey mini-bar but a small shop at reception sells drinks and snacks at normal prices; breakfast appears in a brown paper bag hung from your door: prêt orange juice, yoghurt and banana. Tip-top.
