is a monthly gathering for lovers of wine (and food) with each event hosted by a leading wine expert. The evening begins at 7.00pm with a wine and canapé reception followed by a 3 course dinner that has been specially paired with the wines. For £30.00 per person you get the opportunity to taste truly excellent wines along with a gourmet dinner.
May Wine Club features Vavasour; the pioneers of the Awatere Valley, now
the premium grape growing region of Marlborough, New Zealand. Each year they
earmark some outstanding parcels of grapes for special attention. Only when the
resulting wine is regarded as outstanding; will it form the small quantity of wine under
the Vavasour banner. This produces a range of wines that are exceptional and award
winning. Awards include the coveted International Wines & Spirits Trophy 2007 for
Sauvignon Blanc; Vavasour championed over 300 different wines from over 17
countries proving themselves to be the world’s best!
The evening is hosted by HJB Wines and gives you the opportunity to try 6 truly
excellent wines and a gourmet menu expertly paired by our Chef. Your host for the
evening will guide you through the pairings and present you with some background
on the wines. The evening begins at 7.00pm prompt with canapés in the bar.
A deposit of £10.00 per person is requested at time of booking to secure your place.
